Paprika
A portrait of a cat made in Adobe Illustrator
This is a completed portrait of my cat Paprika. I started off in Illustrator with two artboards, one for the artwork and one for the picture. I created a grid across both so that they would correlate, then drew the main outlines. Next, I added large blocks of colors where her spots are. I used a Wacom tablet to make small lines for her fur. For the nose and whiskers I used the pen tool. For the pupils I used the width tool to get the right shape.
